A House To Be Desired - Josephine Ryan
Josephine Ryan not only owns a fabulous antique shop but she owns this fabulous house in Nimes, Southern France. The good news is that she rents it out for stays and for photo shoots. Beam me up Scotty.

Politics can make beautiful art...
Politics can make beautiful art...
I recently got reminded of some amazing craft artists by flipping through this book....
and saw the work of Margarita Cabrera a Mexican born artist who made a body of work which is...
appliances made from sweatshop labourers in Mexican villages, she purchases the product, partially hand makes them with thread and fabric and the reincorporates this into the original object... commenting on labor and border politics....
She has also made VW's, tractors, bikes, and hummers!!!
She has also done a series of Desert Plants, and since I am currently both sewing and knitting a plant I was excited....
For more on Margarita check out her gallery....

Daydreaming of some new ink...
While I consider myself a loyal person in many senses of the word, I go through phases of adoration/intolerance more regularly than I'd like to admit.
In any case, I'm in continual admiration of those who I feel for one reason or another have essentially gotten it right. Meaning, if I were them, I'd think that tattoo could keep me happy for a lifetime. I have a great deal of respect for these people who got it right and maybe even a little envy of their fearlessness.
